What is Canvas Studio?

Canvas Studio is a media tool that allows students and instructors to upload, create, edit, manage, share and discuss audio and video files. Existing files can be used or new ones can be created with Studio's capture and editing tools.

How is Canvas Studio used in a course?

Canvas Studio media files can be embedded in any course content. This includes modules, assignments, pages, quiz questions, announcements, and other course items.

Students can submit audio and video files to assignments and discussions.

Quick Start: Embedding Quiz Questions in Studio Video

Did you know you can add quiz questions directly to the video you have in Canvas Studio? You can add quiz questions to a video you create or added to Studio (like YouTube videos). In addition, you can also decide if you want the quiz questions to also be an assignment with a grade that goes straight to the gradebook!

Below is a quick video showing how to take a video you already have in Studio and add quiz questions and then turn it into an assignment for a grade.
