iMovie Projects can be backed up to the camera roll and then uploaded to Google Drive.

Check to see which apps are using space on your iPad. Those that store to the cloud can be deleted and re-installed to create more space on your iPad. Those that store data within the app (Notability or Explain Everything) need to be backed up prior to deleting the app or erasing the iPad. Check your iPad storage by going to Settings - General - iPad Storage.
